Baillie Gifford Prize

About the podcast

The Baillie Gifford Prize's Read Smart podcast explores nonfiction through conversations with the people who create and assess it. Razia Iqbal hosts interviews with authors, judges, and publishing insiders. Prize-related episodes introduce shortlisted work and the ideas behind it. The series also considers nonfiction as a wider part of literary culture. It offers readers context for both the award and the books that enter its conversations.
