For You The War Is Over

About the podcast

For You the War Is Over tells stories of prisoner-of-war escapes during the Second World War. Episodes follow individual prisoners from capture through their attempts to regain freedom. Camp conditions and the preparation involved in escaping provide important context. The programme also examines the obstacles people encountered after making their plans. Personal character and motivation help distinguish one escape story from another.
