About the podcast

Lucy Scholes talks with writers associated with feminist publisher Virago. The conversations explore the cultural influences behind their work. Books, music, and personal memories all provide routes into the discussion. Rather than focusing only on a new publication, the show considers a writer’s wider creative world. Its recurring question is what inspires the people who make books.
