The Ancients

About the podcast

Tristan Hughes hosts History Hit’s exploration of the ancient world. Historians and archaeologists join him to examine particular subjects from the distant past. The show ranges across places and periods rather than following a single civilization. Its coverage extends from prehistoric Britain to the later Roman world. Conversations about cities, rulers, armies, and material evidence connect familiar ancient stories with questions raised by research.
