The Live Drop

About the podcast

The Live Drop explores intelligence gathering through extended conversations with people who study or practise it. Former Army officer and actor Mark Valley hosts the programme. Guests include intelligence professionals, diplomats, historians, authors, and analysts from different countries. Their discussions connect espionage and the collection of information with geopolitics and national security. The emphasis on human intelligence gives listeners a view of the people behind these often secretive activities.
