The Loopcast

About the podcast

The Loopcast explores extremism, history, and law through discussions of books and public questions. Its subjects include white nationalism, the Ku Klux Klan, and the political uses of Confederate memory. Other episodes examine constitutional interpretation, the power of sheriffs, and state-supported violence. Historical discussions extend to Reconstruction and the development of American political institutions. The programme connects research on extremist movements with debates about democracy and legal authority.
