The PEN Pod

About the podcast

PEN America brings literature and freedom of expression into the same conversation. The series grew out of a period when the pandemic disrupted gatherings across the literary community. Its interviews and updates offered another way for writers and readers to stay connected. Books sit alongside questions about the conditions that allow people to speak and write freely. That combination gives the show both a literary and a civic focus.
