Unsung History

About the podcast

Unsung History explores people and events in American history that may be unfamiliar. Its premise is to bring less widely known subjects to listeners’ attention. That focus offers an alternative to concentrating only on the most famous national figures. Individual stories provide entry points into the country’s past. The program invites listeners to expand what they recognize as part of American history.
